Why the role exists

Most companies expand the way they export: translate the site, price in the new currency, hire a rep, and hope. Reach crosses the border. The position does not. A month in, the pipeline is thin and no one can say why.

A market is not entered with a translation. It is entered with a position the local buyer recognizes as theirs, a price the local market will pay, a channel that already exists there, and the regulatory homework done before the first invoice, not after.

The strategic move that most firms skip has a name. Market entry as architecture. Not a translated deck. Not a lead list. A landing thesis built from evidence and defended in the destination room.

Two blocs are moving toward each other. As the European Union and Mercosur move closer to opening one of the world’s largest trade corridors, the companies that arrive with a defended position will take the market. The ones that arrive with a translated homepage will fund the education of everyone else.

This is the work Elevating Brands does in both directions — European companies entering Latin America, Latin American companies entering Europe. Research names whether the opportunity is real. Strategy names how to take it. Compliance names what it costs. Partners make it move.

A market rewards the arrival that was built, not the one that was translated.

Fit check

Not for every expansion.

This is for you if

  • You have product-market fit at home and a serious intent to enter Europe or Latin America
  • You are eyeing the Mercosur–EU corridor and want the regulatory reality before you commit budget
  • You already tried “just translate the site” and learned it does not open a market
  • You need one entry thesis your board, your local partners, and your sales team all defend
  • You want research and a landing plan you can act on, not a report that sits in a drawer

This is not for you if

  • You want a cheap translation of your existing marketing
  • You want a market-research PDF with no intent to act on it
  • Your expansion is opportunistic and you are not ready to commit
  • You want a lead list, not a market-entry architecture
  • You want the cheapest option in the category

Four workstreams. One entry.

What we build.

01

Market research

Demand, competition, pricing reality, and buyer behavior in the target market. Delivered as a decision document, not a data dump: where the opportunity is real, where it is noise, and what it actually costs to enter.

02

Market-entry strategy

Entry mode, positioning, pricing, and channel for the new market. A landing roadmap your board can fund and your local team can execute — built from evidence, not optimism, and defended in the local room.

03

Mercosur–EU regulatory

The reality of moving between the two blocs: the framework, the tariffs, the compliance gates, and what the Mercosur–EU agreement changes for your category. The homework most firms skip until it costs them a quarter.

04

Partners & local GTM

The partners, distributors, and go-to-market on the ground in the destination market. A voice that sounds native, and the relationships that make it move — so you land with allies, not from a cold start.

The method

The landing sequence

From market research to a live presence in-country. Built from operating experience across three continents and three languages. In both directions of the corridor.

  1. 01

    Research

Market sizing, competition, demand, and pricing reality in the target market. We name whether the opportunity is real before anyone commits budget to it.

    Week 1-4
  2. 02

    Strategy

Entry mode, positioning, pricing, and channel. The landing thesis your board can fund — built from the evidence, not from optimism about the map.

    Week 4-8
  3. 03

    Compliance

The regulatory framework, Mercosur–EU rules, tariffs, and the gates that decide when and how you can actually operate. Specialists brought in where the entry needs them.

    Week 6-10
  4. 04

    Landing

Local partners, distribution, and the first campaigns in-market — in the local voice, aligned to the buyer cycle of the destination, not of home.

    Month 3+
  5. 05

    Governance

Measurement and handover so the market runs without us. The entry thesis stays with your team, documented, defensible, and compounding.

    Month 6+

Why now

The corridor is opening.

The European Union and Mercosur have spent decades negotiating one of the largest trade frameworks in the world. As it moves closer to reality, a corridor opens in both directions — European firms into Latin America, Latin American firms into Europe.

Corridors reward the prepared. The first companies to arrive with a defended position, a compliant entry, and local partners will define their category in the new market. The ones that arrive late, or arrive translated, will spend years and budget catching up to them.

The window to build the position is now, while the corridor is still forming — not after competitors have already claimed the room.

A note from the principal

A market is not entered with a translation.

I have built brands in three languages, across four countries and three continents. The lesson repeats in every market: the companies that win abroad do not arrive with a translated deck. They arrive with a position the local buyer recognizes as theirs.

Research tells you whether the opportunity is real. Entry strategy tells you how to take it. The regulatory reality of the Mercosur–EU corridor tells you what it actually costs. Local partners make it move. Skip any one of them and the expansion stalls in a drawer.

That is the work: one market-entry thesis your board can fund, your regulators accept, your partners recognize, and your sales team defends in the local room — whichever bloc you are leaving and whichever you are entering.

If you intend to cross the border with a position worth defending, we will build the entry with you. If you are only testing the map, this will feel like a waste of your time and ours.

Questions we get before signing

The honest answers.

Is this research or execution?
+
Both, in that order. We research the market, design the entry thesis, and stay through the landing. The research names whether the opportunity is real; the strategy names how to take it; the operating phase makes it move in-country. A report with no plan to act on it is not what we do.
Which direction do you work — Europe to LatAm, or LatAm to Europe?
+
Both. The corridor runs two ways, and so do we. We have operated across three continents and three languages, so we build the entry for the destination market — whichever bloc you are leaving and whichever you are entering.
Do you handle the Mercosur–EU regulatory side?
+
We map it. The framework, the tariffs, the compliance gates, and what the Mercosur–EU agreement changes for your category. We are not your customs broker or your lawyer — we make sure the entry thesis is built on the real rules, and we bring the specialists in where the entry needs them.
What does the deliverable look like?
+
A single market-entry thesis. Market reality, entry mode, positioning, pricing, the regulatory map, and the landing plan — in one document your board can fund and your local team can execute. Not a sixty-page report that sits in a drawer.
How long does it take?
+
Market research and the entry thesis in weeks, not months. A live presence in-country follows the landing plan. Real timelines depend on the bloc, the category, and the regulatory gates — the discovery call gives you an honest range.
How is this priced?
+
Fixed fee for the research and entry thesis. Retained fee for the landing phase, scoped to the market and category. We publish no rate card because scope varies with the corridor and the category. The discovery call establishes the range in the first thirty minutes.
